Lucy’s Legacy: 10 Years Strong in Downtown Beloit

Ten years ago, Lucy’s #7 Burger Bar fired up the grill for the first time ready to serve delicious, juicy burgers, Wisconsin cheese curds and the kind of hospitality that makes you feel at home. A decade later, we’re still here and better than ever thanks to our incredible community.

Since opening the doors, Lucy’s has become a downtown Beloit staple, welcoming locals and drawing in visitors with our mouthwatering burgers and welcoming atmosphere. What’s really kept us thriving isn’t just what’s on the menu, but the people who walk through our doors.  

Over the past ten years, we’ve built meaningful relationships with our guests and valuable relationships with local businesses, breweries and farms, ensuring that we’re serving the best of what Wisconsin has to offer. From working with Wisco breweries and area farmers, we’ve always been about supporting those around us, just as this community has supported us!  

To celebrate our 10-year milestone, we turned to the people who know burgers best, our guests!

We hosted a build-a-burger contest asking guests to submit their most creative, flavor-packed burger creations. Hundreds of entries poured in, proving what we already knew to be true, our community knows and loves their burgers!  

After much debate, our team landed on one legendary creation - The Cowboy Burger, submitted by Dallas B.

This burger is bold, smoky and packed with flavor. It’s piled high with pulled pork, house made BBQ, bacon, cheddar cheese, and crispy onion rings. It’s a perfect fusion of savory barbecue goodness and crunch, bringing a taste of the Wild West to Lucy’s! Try it as April’s Burger of the Month and taste why it was crowned our winner.

As we celebrate this milestone, we want to give a huge thank you to every guest who’s shared a meal with us and made Lucy’s part of their story. This isn’t just our anniversary, it’s yours too.
